Days 15 Wednedsay 9-23-15 Yellowstone's Grand Canyon/Falls

The Yellowstone River cuts a canyon that is 1,200 ft. deep at places.  There are two falls; the Upper Falls and the Lower Falls.  Each has its own splendor.

The Upper Falls:

Upper Falls; north rim at the brink.

Lower Falls:

To get to the brink of the Lower Falls on the north rim  there was a narrow path descending 600 ft.  There are about 20 switchbacks on the trail.  It took about 10 minutes to go down and over 30 minutes to climb back out.  I was pooped!  But it was worth it.

I wish there was some way that pictures could show the enormity of these vistas.
