By
the time we finally got awake and down to the lobby, the Comfort Inn’s complimentary
breakfast was history. Thank Heaven for ”Mickey
Ds”. I had a change in wardrobe…It was only
50˚. Away went the shorts and out came
the jeans. Linda toughed it out in her
skirt.
Again
this was a travel day. I did learn to
keep my weather forecasting prowess to myself and we had a day without any precipitation. Linda was fascinated how we had such low
hanging clouds and with the flat terrain the bases of the clouds went into
infinity. It was a beautiful day.
We ended the day at the KOA in Madison (DeForest) WI. We got lucky. There are several big events in the Madison area this weekend. The camp ground is packed and the only sites that are not reserved are a couple of tent sites. That works for us! One of the events is an Iron-Man competition. I decided that it wouldn’t be fair for a guy from back-east to take the trophy home so I did not enter. Maybe next time.
While
this isn’t the quietest campgrounds (only a ¼ mile from the interstate) but it is very
clean and well kept.
