The view from our bedroom. |
Each morning starts with a walk around the grounds.

In the morning Brian the Direct TV guy (I was hoping for Larry the Cable Guy) came and installed a new satellite dish. Linda was the official tool gopher.
After the TV was up and running Rich suggested we take a drive to Telluride and ride the gondolas. The ride to Telluride winds through valley and up and down the mountains.
On the way we passed the house of the late Dennis Weaver of TV fame. The Dennis Weaver house |
Telluride is probably the primo ski resort in the country. As Rich puts it "Even a shack in Telluride cost a million dollars".
If you stay on the gondola you can ride down the other side of the mountain to Mountain Village, where we had lunch.
Then we rode back and walked the streets of Telluride.
The sights looking east from Telluride:
Wow. After all that walking my back doesn't hurt so bad!
Back at "Del Rancho de Ricardo" the chef Ricardo himself served up ribs on the grill with fries and broccoli. I could get used to this!
The evening was spent in pleasant conversation and reminiscing old times.
