Crystal River Trip 3/28 - 29

Thursday 3/29

Linda woke up stiff from yesterday’s trauma.  She feels like she was in a car wreck.  Her back and hips are sore as well as her neck.  Her knees are stiff if she doesn’t keep moving.   She went for a couple walks in the morning.   She spent much of the day doing crosswords, reading novels and watching Dr. Phil for a couple hours.
In the afternoon we went to the Crystal River Archeological State Park.  I didn't get many pictures as the battery went dead in the camera.  There is an Indian mound about 30 ft. tall made from shells and animal bones.  Its believed it was a ceremonial mound.  There are several smaller burial mounds where at least 39 remains were found.

This park is directly across the river from the canal leading to our campsite.

Friday 3/29
Linda stayed home again today.  I’m getting suspicious about this Dr. Phil guy.  She has been spending a lot of time with him lately.  She is doing a lot better today. She seems to be on the mend.
I took the boat up near the Crystal River Nuclear Power Plant.  There is numerous oyster bars in that area and it is marked as good fishing on several charts.  The catch of the day…3 trout (1 is a keeper!) 3 Ladyfish and 1 Stingray.   The weather was great.  I wonder if the fish near the nuclear plant glow in the dark??

Linda had hot dogs and I enjoyed two delicious Seatrout sandwiches. She gave the trout a taste and she said it was good.  She doesn’t usually like fish.
