Sunday 3/24
Today’s trip will be to
Sanford to visit my cousin Rodney’s daughter, Jeannie, and her husband Mike and
the two kids Becca and Michael. We enjoy catching up with each other.
We had pizza and wings
delivered and all chowed down.
Becca showed Linda
how to make slime from white glue, baking soda, eye contact cleaning solution,
soap and tempera paint; who knows what all else went into the mix. Then they had fun playing with it. Michael was a bit subdued because he was
still tired from yesterday’s plane trip that didn’t land until almost midnight.
On the way home we
stopped at an RV park I spotted in the morning next to the Withlacoochee River near
Inverness. As we drove through we asked
a gentleman who was walking his dog, if they have any problems with no-see-ums. He said “What?…Never heard of them.” We told him if they had them he’d know what
they are. It was a beautiful park but the
only access to the river was the adjoining public boat ramp.
When we got back to the
camp we enjoyed our elegant dining of hot dogs on the grill and beans.
With super low tide
comes super high tides. Instead of walking down the ramp to the dock
it is straight out.
